My Story

Kolbe Blier

What began as a fascination with stop-motion animation now exists as a passion for capturing beauty in every moment. I am here to help you remember your best memories, your greatest challenges, and to grow and heal through the art of light.

Background

In May, 2022, I graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a double major in Communications and Film Media with a burning desire to create meaningful work. My early creative endeavors from elementary to middle school took form in stop motion animation, in which I brought my childhood toys to life. I later enrolled in live action filmmaking classes in high school, pursuing photography as a hobby. My journey lead me to take up URI’s film program, through which my appreciation for light, image composition and camera technique blossomed. Throughout college, I gained professional experience in the freelance wedding scene, while also capturing senior portraits, couple’s sessions, and family photos. SeaMount Media took me in post graduation, from June to November 2022, where I learned the ropes of freelancing, working with real estate agents and capturing homes, landscaping, and construction in a commercial style.
